About the Film:

“Water Tension” (working title), is a reflexive and experiential journey that will bring hope and the reality of how connected we all are regardless of our story.  This documentary is my humble piece of the puzzle.  Sharing the content, message and stories of those that we encountered on our journey is my way of standing up for immediate and mass change in our specie’s water ethos and practices.  The water crisis washing upon us is coming unnoticed by most in our country and is such a holistic and pandemic crisis that I find it daunting to invest in this film which may only make a small dent in the coming storm.  Having said that, I stand up boldly and with my camera rolling I am choosing to tell this story and make my mark.  I could not live fully knowing that I went silent about this information I have learned about our fate without sharing transparently with my brothers and sisters.  In “Water Tension” Brittany App and I share our unique and wild adventure in a way that will have you feeling like you pedaled all 3,200 miles with us.  You will live through the brutal elements, the moments of breakdown and redemption, the joys and hardships of life on the road and the incredible stories of our new-found friends who took part in our nomadic venture.  The film will educate on the water crisis here and abroad while giving a voice to the people who shared their intimate journeys with us along the way.  We interview a diverse group of individuals about their lives, their values, their legacy and their connections to water and the current water crisis.  Pedal with us over mountains, across deserts and through the deep south as we discover who we truly are and how connected we all are through water and our commons bonds.  An epic tale of following our dreams to the end of the road and beyond.  This film will change you.  Water is life.  Peace be the journey.
